This historic hotel dates back to 1941 and sits 10 miles from the Jackson Hole Airport and puts guests within walking distance of boutiques, museums, galleries, restaurants and nightlife. Guests can ride down the rapids of Snake River, horseback through the Grand Tetons, snowmobile through Yellowstone National Park or thrill at the powder on the slopes of three local ski resorts.

Hotel Features.
Stepping from the wooden sidewalk to the Grand lobby of The Wort Hotel is a journey back through time. With spectacular stone fireplaces, beamed cathedral ceilings, comfortable overstuffed furnishings and Western artwork, the lobby is an ideal location for quiet conversation. The business- friendly hotel features 2,800 square-feet of event space, including three elegantly appointed rooms with handmade Western chandeliers and sconces and displaying cattle brands from the local ranching community. Sauntering through the saloon-style doors of the Plug Nickel Café, diners enjoy a American menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner while the Silver Dollar Grill serves hand-cut USDA primed beef grilled over mesquite and is open for dinner.

Guestrooms.
The 60 rustic guestrooms of The Wort Hotel feature lodge pole pine furniture with Western fabrics and décor. The beds envelop guests in comfort with high- thread count sheets, goose-down comforters and down pillows. Sitting atop the beds, rests a plush Silver Dollar Sam teddy bear. Bathrooms offer luxurious bear-logo bathrobes, slippers and designer toiletries. Multi-line telephones with data ports allow for wired Internet access.

Expert Tip. The showpiece of The Wort Hotel can be found in the Silver Dollar Bar where a German cabinet maker inlaid 2,032 uncirculated silver dollars from the U.S. Treasury into the bar.
