Opened in 1911 and bestowed with the title "Queen of the Gulf," the Hotel Galvez has been painstakingly restored to her original majesty and promises to reign supreme in Galveston, Texas for years to come. This eight-story Spanish Colonial-style hotel is located on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, one-half mile from downtown Galveston and sits within one mile of the Galveston Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Moody Civic Center and Gallery Row. Hotel Features.
The elegant lobby of the Hotel Galvez features mahogany wood beams across the ceiling.
