The Viking is four blocks from Newport Harbor and downtown Newport, R.I. The Touro Synagogue is across the street from the hotel. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is three blocks away. The Viking is at the top of Newport's Historic Hill on Aquidneck Island in Narragansett Bay.

The Viking serves seafood at One Bellevue restaurant. The restaurant offers afternoon tea daily featuring homemade biscuits, scones with lemon cream and petit fours. The hotel offers a 24-hour business center and features more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel includes an on-site chapel.
