Location.
The Deer Creek Resort in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, is located on the border of Deer Creek State Park, 30 miles southwest of downtown Columbus. Fishing, camping, golf courses, horseback riding, hiking and jogging are all located on site or within walking distance of the resort. The Deer Creek State Park Golf Course is within two miles. Attractions in Columbus such as the Scioto Downs Racetrack, Columbus Museum of Art, and German Village Society are within 31 miles.

Hotel Features.
The on- site restaurant offers a bistro-style menu, featuring gourmet seafood dishes and salads. Drinks are available at the lounge/bar. The hotel offers indoor and outdoor pools, poolside bar, spa tub and sauna. The fitness center offers cardiovascular and weightlifting equipment. The on-site marina provides boat and water sport rentals. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and all public areas.

Guestrooms.
Guestrooms are located on two stories feature balconies or patios with views of the park or lake. Private cottages offer two bedrooms, separate living areas, dining rooms, and screened-in porches. The Harding Cabin includes a gas-log fireplace and can accommodate up to nine guests.

Expert Tip. South of downtown Columbus is the 223- acre German Village Society, a historic district featuring 19th century-style homes, shops and restaurants. Tours are available. This district is always a popular draw during Oktoberfest.
