The Alex is located in New York City, N.Y., in east Midtown Manhattan. Park Avenue and the United Nations headquarters building are two blocks from the hotel. Grand Central Station is within four blocks. Times Square and the Broadway Theater District are six blocks away.

The lobby decor features blooming orchids and a fireplace. Riingo restaurant and bar, serving a blend of American and Japanese cuisine for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, calls the hotel its home.
