Decorated in the style of a European boutique hotel, the Omni Detroit Hotel River Place's reception area includes dark wood furnishings and a fireplace. Fender's Tavern provides plasma televisions and a billiards table, while the menu offers appetizers, salads, sandwiches and steaks. In season, Fender's guests dine on the waterfront patio, which features views of the river walk. The fitness center includes cardiovascular equipment and free weights. The hotel contains 8,000 square feet of event space. A complimentary hourly shuttle delivers guests to downtown attractions such as Greektown and Renaissance Center.
