Located on a secluded hillside six miles from downtown Palm Springs, the Lodge at Rancho Mirage (Calif.) offers a luxurious getaway with panoramic views of the Coachella Valley. Many of California's most captivating geographic landscapes lie within four miles of the property, including Palm Springs, Indian Canyons and Murray Canyon.

Hotel Features.
Lodge amenities include the Avanyu Spa, which features massage, body wraps and innovative skin therapies. Guests can swim beneath the California sun in the outdoor pool, sip tropical drinks poolside, or relax in the spa tub, sauna or steam room. Active guests may choose among nine tennis courts or can try their hand at croquet, while golf enthusiasts receive preferred booking status for 36 holes of golf at Mission Hills Country Club. Expert Tip.
The Lodge at Rancho Mirage provides solitude, as further construction in the hills is not permitted. Only guests of the Lodge and endangered longhorn sheep are free to wander the surrounding environs. An annual fundraiser works to ensure protection of the rare sheep.
