Location.
The Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, within 500 metres of the Corniche's parks and gardens, two kilometres from the Marina Mall, and three kilometres from the city centre and the Al Hosn Palace.

Hotel Features.
Located on a private beach, the Shangri-La comprises of luxurious guestrooms, apartments and themed villas. The villas are set within 8.5 hectares, and connected to facilities via Arabic gondolas on the hotel's waterways. The waterways also connect to the onsite Arabic souk and its shopping facilities. The architecture is Arabic, decor is contemporary and state of the art, and there is a Chi spa on site.

The Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri features four restaurants. Shang Palace serves Chinese dishes, and there are French and Vietnamese restaurants on site. The Sofra restaurant serves freshly prepared food from a buffet throughout the day, and pre- and post-dinner drinks can be enjoyed either on the pool deck, on the balconies of the Al Hannah bar, or in the Lobby Lounge.

The hotel caters for business meetings, dinner occasions, and social events.

A selection of water sports from the private beach, such as boating, rowing or canoeing, are offered. There are also five swimming pools on site, a health club and Chi spa facilities. The onsite souk-style shopping area can be explored in Arabic gondolas. The nearest golf course is 10 kilometres from the hotel.

Guestrooms. The 214 guestrooms have balconies and sea views. All are luxuriously appointed, with Arabic architectural features and state-of-the-art interior design. The marble and mosaic covered bathrooms have separate tubs and rainforest showers, with designer toiletries, bathrobes and slippers provided. Bottled water, welcome fruit baskets and newspapers are complimentary, and guestrooms are equipped with televisions with LCD screens and premium channels, DVD players, and multi-line telephones. High-speed Internet connections are available at a surcharge.

Driving Directions

From Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH):
Distance to Shangri-La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri is 25 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there.
Taxis wait in front of arrivals and cost 20-25 USD to the city centre. A taxi journey to the hotel costs 20 USD. Green and white buses run between the airport and Abu Dhabi's City Bus Terminal every 30-45 minutes. These buses are available 24 hours a day, and single tickets cost 1 USD. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around.
Taxis offer a cheap, efficient way to explore Abu Dhabi. Shared taxis are available, and the city is served by a network of public buses. A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding area.

Driving directions. Leave Abu Dhabi Airport on main road, named 30th Street or Khalij Al Arabi. After ADNOC filling station take first right. Turn left at the first roundabout. Turn left at the second roundabout. Straight on at the third roundabout. The hotel can be found on the left.
