The Insotel Club Formentera Playa is a self-contained holiday complex situated on Formentera's pretty Migjorn beach, on the south side of the island. The 330 air- conditioned guestrooms have bright decor and modern furnishings. Studio units open to balconies or terraces and provide direct-dial phones, satellite television with music channels, safes, refrigerators and bathrooms with hair dryers. Guests can enjoy a swim in the indoor pool, or simply relax on a sunbed by the outdoor swimming pool with a drink from the pool bar. Kids will enjoy the children's pool and there are supervised children's activities; parents will appreciate the babysitting service. Guests can also browse the mini-market, relax with a massage treatment or sauna or enjoy a night out at the bar and disco. At the main restaurant guests can enjoy buffet style dining, while the Grill Restaurant provides an à la carte menu in an informal beach side taverna. Numerous activities are available free of charge; guests can play tennis on one of two courts (one has artificial grass), take advantage of bicycle or mountain bike hire, try archery or rifle shooting, enjoy aerobics or darts, or play volleyball, water polo or table tennis. Guests can also enjoy, free of charge, the use of sailing boats, catamarans, canoes and windsurf boards for one hour a day per guest. Further sailing and diving facilities are available for a charge at the Sailing School. Beaches, a church and pretty villages can be found within 10 kilometres. Formentera does not have its own airport; ferries connect from Ibiza.
