Built in 1890, Santa Catalina is an English colonial-style hotel set in lush gardens and located in the parkland area of Ciudad Jardin in Las Palmas. It is just one kilometre from the historic old town and three kilometres from Canteras Beach. Las Palmas Airport is located 25 kilometres away, a 20-minute drive.

Hotel Features.
The 2800-square-metre spa centre offers relaxation with Turkish baths, a Finnish sauna, a hot tub, therapeutic massages, and health and beauty treatments. Guests of Santa Catalina can swim in the indoor and outdoor pools, and the poolside terraces are dotted with sun loungers and surrounded by lush gardens. There is also a gym, and tennis court, and the concierge can advise on sightseeing excursions. Further amenities include conference and banqueting facilities, a 24-hour front desk, all-hours room service, on site shopping and valet parking.

Santa Catalina offers a range of dining options: Arencibia serves typical Canarian and international food accompanied by live piano music and with an extensive wine cellar; Bar Piscina offers a range of drinks and Mediterranean snacks in the gardens next to the pool, and Bar Carabela serves a selection of snacks, drinks and cocktails on the terrace.

Driving Directions

Getting there.Taxis are available outside the Arrivals areas. A taxi to the hotel costs approximately 23-25 EUR. There are frequent bus services between the airport and the capital, as well as other destinations on the island. Bus no. 60 runs to Las Palmas for Parque de San Catalina and Parque de San Telmo. Bus services depart from outside the Arrivals halls of zones A and C. There are plenty of cheap, metered taxis available on Gran Canaria. The island also has good bus services which operate around the resorts and to all the main towns; there is nowhere on the island that takes much longer than an hour to get to by bus. Hire cars are popular with visitors wanting to explore the island.
