The New Emerald Cove Hotel is a villa-style resort with a private beach at Anse la Farine, on its own island, four kilometres from Valle de Mai and La Digue. The hotel's 42 air-conditioned guestrooms, over two floors, have white walls with dark oak, Bali-style furniture and polished floors, ceiling beams and wall panelling. All offer verandas with garden views, and include bathrobes, Internet access, bottled water and minibars. The half- board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day. The Hibiscus Restaurant and Bar serves Creole and Mediterranean cuisine, with an open-space layout featuring views of the ocean. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, with beach views, lined with sunbeds and parasols, and drinks and refreshments are available at the hotel's bar. The hotel also has an in-house diving centre, managed by a PADI instructor and a skipper, using a dedicated 33-foot boat which carries up to 10 divers. Excursions and big-game fishing can also be organized with the hotel's own boats. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas for those with laptops, and guests can catch up with current events on the television in the lobby. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can organise transport bookings, sporting activities, and store valuables in the safe-deposit box. The Valle de Mai, a World Heritage site, is located four kilometres from the hotel, and a number of different islands are located within six kilometres. Anse Lazio Beach is seven kilometres away. Praslin Airport is eight kilometres (five miles) from the hotel, a 25-minute drive.

Driving Directions

Local DMC buses or minibuses can be taken from the airport to the hotel. Taxis can also be taken and typically cost approximately 15-20 EUR. Driving directions: From the airport head in the direction of Baie Saint Anne Jetty. A shuttle boat is available at the jetty and transfers guests to the hotel for free. There is no direct road access to the hotel.
