Location.
The Oberoi Mauritius is situated amid eight hectares of sub-tropical gardens overlooking Turtle Bay on the north-west coast of the island of Mauritius. It lies 20 kilometres from the island's capital, St Louis.

Hotel Features.
This beachfront hotel is built in traditional island style. Spa facilities include a sauna, a steam bath, and a range of beauty treatments, and massages and alternative therapies are available. There is children's pool, a kids' club, and babysitting can be provided. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer currency exchange, tour assistance, and the use of a safe-deposit box, and there is a dedicated concierge desk. The public areas have complimentary wireless Internet access and there is 24- hour room service.

The open-air Restaurant & Bar Oberoi has a thatched roof and serves a fusion of Creole, Oriental, and European dishes. The Lagoon Bar is set by the pool and serves light lunches and snacks.

Getting there.
Guests can arrange to be picked up from the airport in the hotel limousine for a surcharge.

Getting around. Buses are available throughout Mauritius. Metered taxis are available, and have black and white registration plates. Bicycles are popular for exploring the area. A car is recommended for visiting the less touristy parts of the island.
