Diva Resort and Spa is located on Dhidhoofinolhu Island in South Ari Atoll, bordered by a stretch of white sand, palm trees and a lagoon, and situated 105 kilometres from Male. Guests are offered two types of accommodation: Island Village, comprising of 19 beach cottages with private terraces, and Water Village, which includes 44 water bungalows raised on stilts and connected to the island by a wooden platform. All feature warm earth tones, wood furniture and ceiling fans. Amenities include terraces with seating and sun beds, welcome amenities, air conditioning, direct-dial phones, dial-up Internet connections, minibars and safes. Bathrooms have bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. The full-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The resort offers several dining options, including: a located on the jetty overlooking the lagoon offering buffet and à la carte dishes, a lively à la carte restaurant serving seafood dishes and grills, an Italian- style café, and several bars. Guests can snooze on a hammock, stroll along the private white sandy beach, and take a dip in the warm sea. For extra pampering there is a spa centre which includes a spa tub, steam room, massage treatments and beauty services, and lively music and drinks can be enjoyed in the Kanaa Kotari Beach Restaurant. Resort staff can assist with airport transport (surcharge), currency exchange and give advice on tours around the islands. The resort offers a wide choice of water sports, including jet skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing and windsurfing. Guests preferring to keep their feet on dry land can enjoy volleyball and tennis. The nearest airport is Male International which is 106 kilometres from the resort. Travel time varies between 155 minutes by speedboat and 35 minutes by sea plane. b>Mandatory transfers.
Mandatory transfers. As the White Sands Resort is located on Dhidhoofinolhu Island, guests must organise a transfer from Male International Airport to the property. To do this, you will need to contact the property directly with your flight details at least 48 hours before travel. Once you have booked your accommodation, we will give you the contact phone number on your booking confirmation. The property's transfer service costs 300 USD per person (prices are all subject to change). The service operates between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily; guests landing outside of these hours will have to wait in the airport or arrange a local hotel independently of the main stay.

Driving Directions

The airport is located on a separate island three kilometres east of Male Island. Boats run to all the major islands from a large ferry terminal near the arrivals area. A private boat to Male will cost around 10-15 USD and takes about 10 minutes. The public boat costs around 1 USD and takes 15 minutes. These boats operate 24 hours. Hotel staff can also arrange airport transfers (surcharge). The best way to get around the islands is by sea plane or speed boat.
