Location.
The Marriott Jordan Valley Resort is located in Sweimeh, Jordan, 10 kilometres from the baptism site of Jesus and 55 kilometres from Jerusalem.

Hotel Features.
Situated on the northeastern tip of the Dead Sea, the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort is surrounded by palm trees and landscaped gardens. The hotel has a private beach, indoor and outdoor pools, hair and beauty salon, and two cinemas. The health club and spa has a sauna and steam room, and offers a variety of services including Dead Sea salt and mud treatments, Thai massage, and hydrotherapy. A safe-deposit box and currency exchange are available at the 24-hour front desk, where staff can also assist with travel and sightseeing arrangements. Complimentary parking is provided.

An American-style buffet breakfast is offered each morning (surcharge). International lunch and dinner buffets are served at Mosaico Restaurant, while Il Terrazzo specialises in Italian cuisine. Jo's Steakhouse serves Wagyu and Australian Angus beef and seafood amid sophisticated, French-style decor. Drinks are served at several bars, including a poolside bar and spa bar. Room service is available around the clock.

The Marriott Jordan Valley Resort provides 10 conference rooms, and wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.

Onsite recreation facilities include tennis courts, playground, kids' club, and children's pool.

Guestrooms.
Spread over five floors, the 248 air-conditioned guestrooms have traditional decor with terraces or balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. All rooms have satellite television, direct-dial phones, wireless Internet access, safes, and minibars with complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms are supplied with hair dryers and complimentary Dead Sea toiletries.

Expert Tip. Opened in December 2006, the Dead Sea Panorama Complex is located 20 kilometres from the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort. Here visitors can browse the museum covering the history, geology and ecology of the Dead Sea. Reservations are advised for the restaurant.

From Amman-Queen Alia International Airport (AMM):
Distance to the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort is 50 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.

Getting there.
Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and fares to the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort are approximately 35 JD.

Getting around.
The best way to explore the area is by private car or taxi.

Driving directions. From Amman-Queen Alia International Airport: Drive north towards Amman. After approximately 15 kilometres, turn left at Naour Bridge, following signs for the Dead Sea. Continue for about 35 kilometres. The hotel is on the right.
