Built at the end of the 19th century, the Hotel Miramare Continental Palace is a grand whitewashed building, set in mature gardens in the Gulf of San Remo, 25 metres from the beach and one kilometre from the Old City. The 59 individually designed guestrooms have either modern or Liberty-style decor, and simple furnishings in bold colours. All offer direct-dial phones, satellite television, desks and minibars. Bathrooms have bidets, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Guests can dine in the hotel's air-conditioned restaurant; open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is a fusion of international and Ligurian cuisine, and tall windows provide views of the hotel's grounds. Guests can also enjoy a stroll through the hotel's private gardens, from which there is access to the beach opposite, and there is also a large indoor swimming pool. Driving Directions

The hotel has an airport shuttle service for which there is a nominal charge. Alternatively, taxis are available from outside the airport terminal. Regular public buses serve the area, or hiring a car is recommended for exploring further afield. Driving directions: From the airport take the highway in the direction of Monaco-Menton Italy-Ventimiglia. Once across the French/Italian border take the third exit for San Remo, and continue for three kilometres. Turn left at the traffic lights and the hotel is 300 metres away.
