The resort is one of the symbols of Colombian hotel tradition, and was built in the late 1930s and renovated in 1996 with modern amenities. The hotel has three neoclassical-style buildings situated on 400,000 square feet of landscape complete with exotic trees, tropical gardens and open water.
The hotel has a bar and grill that serves barbecue and pizza, three on-site restaurants that serve international-style cuisine, disco and nightly live music, casino, currency exchange, deli and café, health club, massage services and sauna, tennis courts, outdoor pool, security guard, boutique, scuba diving store, business center and conference rooms.
Guestrooms are tastefully decorated in soft, muted hues and feature satellite television, dial-up Internet access, air-conditioning, minibars, bathrobes and jetted tubs.
